Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
It’s Tuesday and Vegas is still loving Texas Tech Football this week. Some big money has flowed in on the Red Raiders since Sunday. Particularly at Circa where they opened Texas Tech as a 14 point favorite. This morning Texas Tech sits at a 16 point favorite there, one of the most respected books in Vegas or anywhere else for that matter.
Why does it matter?
It’ maters from a national perception stand-point. It seems like some folks around the country outside the Texas Tech fanbase may have a better view of Texas Tech than folks at home. It happens. They are seeing a team with a dominant run defense and a team with a defense that can stifle just about anyone on the schedule from here. That includes you Oklahoma State…
So, just something to tuck away going into Saturday. . .
Speaking of, we’ve got rain headed our way starting this afternoon on the South Plains. It looks like it will hang around through Friday but we should have a fast track for Saturday. If you are coming into town for the game, after stopping in at The Reserve Culinary Tavern, make sure you have a light jacket for the game. Temps are gonna be in the mid-50s or so at game time. The lowest day-time temps we’ve had in a while around here. That should make for an invigorating and fast-paced game.
We’ll look at all of this tonight on The Daily Broadcast, plus a whole lot more. In fact, some of the MORE will be a breakdown of what the third series of the game has looked like for Texas Tech’s offense this year and for the opponents. By the third series most teams are “off-script” and now adjusting to real-time play-calls. The Plan B part of Plan A if you will. How has Texas Tech fared this season so far? We’ll talk about it tonight with y’all LIVE at 5:30 Central.
