Once again, we welcome you to the column with no name. Got a good name for it… fire away int he comments. Here’s what we’re thinking about, in quick fashion today.
- It’s gonna be epic in December of 2026 when Texas Tech Football hosts Alabama in an opening round match-up in Lubbock. With the field expanded to 16 teams next season in the College Football Playoff, Tech fans won’t get cheated out of a great experience like this year. Also, Lubbock will reap massive economic benefit from hosting a game. As it should be. If you’ve got a place you can rent out.. start making plans today. You’re gonna make a lot of money that weekend.
- Texas Tech MBB just hung 102 points on Oklahoma State without really trying. 17-three pointers made on the day. And for now, Texas Tech is still missing a few pieces due to injury. If Texas Tech can put its best team on the court in March, Texas Tech fans may have to come up with some money to follow them around the NCAA Tournament. We’ll see how Tech handles going to UH on Tuesday night. That will be a low-scoring rock fight. After battling back against Duke though, should anything really intimidate this Texas Tech team? Answer: No.
- It won’t happen anytime soon, but Jacob Rodriguez deserves to have his Texas Tech Football number retire and be put in the Ring of Honor at this point much more so than Patrick Mahomes did after his final Red Raider game…. Hopefully Texas Tech officials won’t make Rodriguez wait 25 years if his pro career ends up being with some sub-standard organization like the Dallas Cowboys….
Alright, there’s some quick Saturday thoughts. We’ll see y’all in the morning with our 5 Things We Know On A Sunday column. Y’all have fun, be safe and for sure… enjoy, comment and share our column today!
