Happy Monday, Y’all !
You know you had a great weekend when all the laundry gets done…and actually folded and/or hung up. Admit it, y’all know it’s true. Add in the final college baseball games of the season and it feels like we really got summer and up and running.
Of course the CWS umpiring Sunday was a joke. More on Angel Campos and his ejections of Coastal Carolina’s Head Coach and First Base Coach in the first inning yesterday in the GBU. But… college baseball and MLB both have huge umpiring issues. I’m not sure how you fix it either. Bring on the Robo Umps I guess. I’ll hate that. . .

Good, Bad & Ugly Weekend Recap
Each Monday we recap the weekend with y’all utilizing the tried and true Good, Bad and Ugly. Going back to the mid-90s on The Williams And Hyatt Show, the GBU comes in most handy. Sports or otherwise, tell us the things you loved, hated and had to look away from. Here’s a quick look at some of ours, post yours in the comments below!
G: Texas Tech Softball continues to stockpile talent. No letting up. If they aren’t the preseason favorites to win it all next year in Oklahoma City, I don’t want to see the team that is. They’ve elevated the roster over the last two weeks and we’re already within a few games of the title. We love the fact certain folks around college softball don’t like how Tech is doing. As we say, “Ain’t no fun when the rabbit’s got the gun..”
B: Angel Campos, Home Plate Umpire for CWS finals Sunday. A joke. College Baseball has serious issues with umpires. One of them is Campos, who got fired by MLB for throwing too many players and managers out of games. So of course the NCAA hires him and puts him the biggest of stages. He’s not up to the challenge and the players/coaches deserve better.
U: Watching Campos and other umpires has me actually thinking RoboUmps may be the way to go. I hate that. I hate replay. Love the human element in sports. But…if the humans suck at the job…
