Happy Monday, Y’all !
We’re off a running on a Monday. Got a huge Texas Tech Football game looming at Utah, the Dallas Cowboys survived the G-Men and there’s real trouble in Kansas City with the Chiefs. 0-2. Not good. Since 2020 only two teams have made the playoffs after 0-2 start. Can Patrick Mahomes find a little more magic to heal the aging Chiefs?
Then, we have not one but two Monday Night games this evening.
Life is good.
We’ll talk about all of that tonight on The Daily Broadcast as well as take a deeper look at Texas Tech Football. Now ranked #17 in the AP Poll, do we care about polls again in Lubbock???) we will ask the question so many are asking. Is Texas Tech really good? We think this team is good. We watch them dominate inferior competition and think it will translate, but how do we know. Good, Bad & Ugly Monday
Each Monday we recap the weekend with y’all, using the Internationally known Good, Bad & Ugly concept. Started in 1994 on The Williams & Hyatt Show (then known as Sports Talk With Williams And Hyatt), the GBU is a time-tested way of figuring exactly what happened and how we should react to it. From sports to non-sports, what did you like, love, hate and have to look away from. You fire-away in the comments and we’ll give you a few of ours to get you started.
G: The NFL Red Zone. Still the standard, still the best and another example of how America and Capitalism defeated the USSR and Communism.
G: Texas Tech WR Coy Taking. Did you know he and Tech QB Behren Morton are really good friends? he catches passes too. Six catches for 139 yards and a TD Saturday vs the Beavers. That used to be a career for some Tech players.
G: Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey. He’s the best in the game right now. And Dallas has to have him to have a chance to beat teams like the Giants. Let that sink in. Hey Jerry, make sure you pay this guy.
B: Weather delays in college football. It’s not just Texas Tech, it’s everywhere. Ten minutes top on a deal and if the fans want to stick around, let them. It’s more dangerous to drive to and from the game than it is to be in the stands for most of these delays.
B: Kansas City Chiefs run game. When Patrick Mahomes is leading you in rushing… not good and gonna make for a long season for KC if they don’t get it fixed.
U: Dallas Cowboys defense. The Giants won’t score more points than they did Sunday all season. Until they play Dallas again. But yes, the run defense is great without Micha Parsons. Just as Jerry Jones predicted. . . Which is why you sign Jadeveon Clowney…. Clowns.
