5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. I’m sure there’s something I get from Canada that I might not be able to for a few weeks now with this “TRADE WAR”…but right now I can’t think of a thing.
  2. Obviously, the trade of Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks to the L.A. Lakers was Mark Cuban’s way of getting back at Texans for voting for Donald Trump for President.
  3. Top 3 All-Time Greatest Lubbock BBQ Joints That No Longer Exist: No. 3. Tom & Bingos. I think they had the same prices for like 25 years. No. 2. Great Scott’s BBQ. Scottie’s place on the Tahoka Highway had great food, awesome music and you could hang out in the “backyard” on a summer night. Never the same after it moved across the street in the late 90s. No. 1. Stubb’s BBQ. The Original. There is no argument to be made here. “There will be no loud talk and no bad talk in this place”.
  4. The City of Lubbock is once again missing out on massive amounts of revenue. They should be selling advertising signage on all the orange construction barrels around town. It would be a gold-mine of money. Folks just sitting around stuck in traffic…I may just buy some barrels of my own and randomly place them around town and see how long they last… Over/Under before someone removed them….2.5 years from the looks of current construction pace.
  5. The Hi-Lo Country is still one of the greatest modern western movies that most folks don’t know about. Good luck trying to find a copy of it somewhere, but if you do, consider yourself lucky. Easily a Top 5 Western made in the last 30 years.
