7/13/23 Question O’ The Day: Either/Or Thursday – It’s Mahomes/Jung & Burt Reynolds vs Burt Reynolds, Texas Tech At Big 12 Media Days.

Brought to you in part by The Shropshire Agency in Lubbock. Independent, just like West Texans. Check out their website today and see what they can do for you and your business. They’ve got a great Facebook page as well so be sure and follow and tell them thanks for supporting Raiderland!

Happy Thursday from Raiderland!

We’ve got Joey McGuire speaking at Big 12 Media Days in the Metromess. We’ll see if he generates any news today. Either way, we’re talking college football and that’s a good thing. We’ll look at that and the Texas Rangers predictions for the second-half of the MLB season tonight around 6:30ish on The Daily Broadcast. Watch on Twitter Live, Facebook Live and our Youtube channel. Your pick!
Now, on to our Either/Or Thursday Questions. . .

Better movie to remake: Either “Smokey And The Bandit”, OR “The Cannonball Run”. Both Burt Reynolds classics. Both have lots of cars. Both could be re-done today. Which one and why do you remake and bonus if you tell us who stars in it!

What’s harder to do? Either play QB in the NFL OR hit major league pitching in MLB? Two different skill-sets. Which one do you think is the harder endeavor? It’s Patrick Mahomes’ job vs Josh Jung’s job. Which one is tougher?

Have fun today, try and stay cool with West Texas broiling again at around 105 and we’ll see you tonight.

  1. I have no faith that any remake of Smokey and the bandit or cannonball run would do the original justice as there are too many current woke and cultural ideologies they would include/take out.

Hitting baseball consistently is harder. Great hitters go into the HOF with .300 batting average meaning they fail 2/3rds of the time.

  2. Smokey was the better movie, but Cannonball lends itself to more chicanery and with better writers could be a lot more fun to remake. But we’d have to make sure no one that has heard of ‘political correctness’ get hired to do the writing!!
Hitting MLB pitching is overall harder, but to be THE BEST at your position and pretty much already a HOF lock within 6 years of being drafted is stupid good. To consistently hit MLB pitching (which Jung is ok at, but not great) is harder, but obviously PM2 is much better at his job than JJ is at his. Guns up.
PS, Hyatt – which role do you want to play in the Cannonball remake?
