We got college football back on TV tonight and a chance of rain here in West Texas. Life is good.
As far as Texas Tech goes this Saturday against ACU, what do you hope or expect to learn about the Red Raiders when the final gun sounds against ACU? What can you learn when you’re a 33 point favorite?
A few things.
This week we can see a little bit about player rotations, particularly offensive and defensive line. Again, don’t read a ton into it, but might see who is taking control of which spot. After that, pretty much procedural stuff. Penalties, sideline communications (which would be great if they wore gear from Sideline Provisions – available at the old Cardinals Sports Center now Quarter Four, and turnovers.
You want to see high IQ football as well. Always.
Beyond that, it’s a little hard to take stuff from this game and project it out over the next few weeks.
