Made it through our last weekend without meaningful football, college or pro.
That feels good to write.
For Texas Tech, it’s the last week for back-ups to get a lot of reps and any position battles to get settled as the Red Raiders move into Game Week mode after Saturday. The NFL has one more round of preseason games, but these will be the old Dress Rehearsal game for many teams, so those games should be interesting to watch.
We’ll talk about all of that as well as a visit with R.J. Ohcoa tonight on the Dallas Cowboys. He’s with Blogging The Boys and does a fine job covering the circus.

We’ve had a lot going on this past weekend. Time for y’all to sum it up with the Good, Bad & Ugly Recaps. What impressed or distressed you? What did you just have to look away from? We’ll give you ours, you fire away in the comments and we’ll discuss in-depth tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
G: Texas Tech Soccer. They steamrolled Youngstown St. 4-1. This team is relentless early in the game this year, really taking pressure off the goalie a bit. Tom Stone looks like he’s assembled another conference championship caliber team.
B: Robert McIntyre’s Sunday at the BMW Championship. You can’t have the epic Scottie Scheffler comeback without McIntyre’s 73 to open the door. Scheffler is doing that Tiger Woods thing now where he intimates the other golfers. Good sign for the Ryder Cup.
U: Selfish one here…lots of folks got lots of rain Sunday night. Not sure how we missed it, but it was amazing to watch the clouds and storms duck and dodge around Raiderland World H.Q. How do they know how to do that? Oh well, maybe tonight!
