On Wednesday, at least we think it was Wednesday…it’s been a busy week, we wrote about how one of the best ways to fix Texas Tech Football’s scheduling issues ( and really all of college football ) is to have a Super League and do it NFL Style. While we know that isn’t going to happen overnight, there is one thing that could change quickly.
Expanding the CFB Playoffs.
Aside from the obvious observations that Texas Tech is really good now and no one wants to come to Lubbock and risk getting beat, the CFB Playoff is another stumbling block.
If they take they playoffs up to 16 or even 24, that would give good teams a little wiggle room. It would encourage a better strength of schedule component as well, beyond what you get in conference play. It would allow a team to take a loss and still feel confident they can still make the postseason. Just one more reason to expand the playoffs!
