Happy Tuesday, Y’all!
Congrats! You made it. We made it!
Not, not to the end of the week. We’ve made it to Election Day. And that’s a great thing because tonight, the political ads come to an end! Whether your are Left or Right leaning, we can all share a common ground on that being a great thing today! If you haven’t voted, get out and do so! If you don’t think your vote matters, we had a crucial county commissioner race decided around here by just a handful of votes a few years ago. So get out and be American!
Texas Tech MBB fans voted for a huge win on opening night and they got their wish. Texas Tech manhandled Jackson State to the tune of 76-42. Not impressed. What if we told you that Donovan Atwell and Darrion Williams were a combined 0-11. Well. They did. Atwell has struggle early with his shot in the exhibition game at Kentucky and now last night at home. No worries. This team is going to be really deep, depending of course on who is eligible to play on a given night. Damarion Dennis led Texas Tech with 22 points on 4-8 three-point shooting. Texas Tech was a pedestrian 45% from the field and a meager 7-30 long-range. That will improve no doubt. Looking forward to next Tuesday when Tech takes on a team with a pulse in Illinois. Make Non-Conference Games Great Again,….
Meanwhile, the first College Football Playoff Rankings will come out tonight. It will be very interesting to see where the Big 12 teams sit compared to where they are in the AP/Coaches Polls. Will Utah be up or down? Same for BYU and Texas Tech. As long as Texas Tech is no worse than 13 in the ranking things should be ok. Nothing really changes. Texas Tech has to win out to have a shot. And remember, much like the NCAA Basketball Tournament, this is a TV Show. Always remember that. This is all about creating ratings and generating money. No more, no less.
We’ll talk about all of that and much more tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast. Who knows what other interesting news the day may bring us by the time we gather here in Raiderland. Join the Show LIVE at 5:30 Central via any of our FREE Platforms.
