Over, Under, Rated Right – Sports Announcers, Raiderland Hot Links Featuring Texas Tech Volleyball, Tahj Brooks Is Scary Good, Halloween Mayhem And More

Brought to you in part by South Plains College. The Road To Raiderland Runs Through Levelland!

Happy Thursday, Y’all !

Happy Halloween! Hope all the kids and grown-up kids out there have a great and safe day. If any of y’all are doing any sports-themed costumes, send them our way via Twitter: @RyanHyattMedia We’d love to see what y’all came up with. I’ll be dressed as an old media member today…

Last night we spoke of the Texas Tech defense on The Daily Broadcast. Tonight we will look at the offense and what to expect the final four games of the year. Will Tahj Brooks get the rushing record? How healthy will Morton be the rest of the way? Can the offense find a consistent theme from here on out? We’ll have our thoughts and look forward to yours.

Here’s a look at the Wednesday night show:

Over, Under, Rated Right Thursday

Each week we give you a topic or category and then y’all tell us how you rate certain things or folks in the category. This week, let’s talk about Radio/TV announcers. Which ones are your favorites out there? Who calls a great game and why? Which ones are popular, but you can’t stand them? Have some fun with it and don’t be mean to anyone except for Tim Brando.

Here’s a few of ours:

Underrated: Kevin Harlan. Always a pro and never over announcers but brings energy and a feel for the moment.

Overrated: Tony Romo. I just don’t know what he brings to the broadcast at this point. How he gets great games is beyond me.

Rated Right: Joe Buck. I know some hate him and it’s because he was over-exposed for a while. He got the games though because he was the best. Now, he’s rated right in my view. Professional standard setter. Just don’t ask Jim Brockmire about him.

Ok. Fire away in the comments and we’ll see you on TDB tonight at 6:30
