Ultimate Weekend Warrior

On Mondays around here, we celebrate the Warriors of the World.

Give us your Top Three Ultimate Weekend Warriors each Monday. The folks from the world of sports or others who got it done and made it happen. We’ll give you a couple to prime the pump, you can add some here on the site or on FacebookX pages.

  1. Scottie Scheffler. A Longhorn we can appreciate. Finished off the golf world in style the last two weeks and takes the FedEx Championship. He’s a machine and impossible to root against.
  2. The Texas Tech Volleyball team. They got their first win of the season in Laramie this weekend, 3-2 over St. Thomas.
  3. Former Texas Tech QB Behren Morton is now New England Patriots QB3 after making the Final Cut Sunday. Great to see what he can do when he’s healthy.

That’s just a couple to get you going. Who makes your list today?

Raiderland Hot Links

Each morning we serve ’em up, Fresh and Hot. The best links from Raiderland and Beyond!

Hit their site and see everything they offers. And yes, they can handle all of your meat processing needs this Fall. Give them a holler and tell them Raiderland sent you!

  1. My “warrior” is Lane Kiffin – yeah, that guy – for sticking to his guns and calling out the NCAA for it’s nonsense.

But I’m a little disappointed in you for using the phrase, “ former NFL players” – you know and I know that you know why it’s being used but it only tells part of the story – a classic liberal propaganda move – let the headline be the lead and bury the truth – and that’s why I’m surprised that you used it.

      • “Former” isn’t the word in question, it’s the initials “NFL”

People see that headline and think Joe Burrow is returning to his alma mater. We know better. The SEC knows better. ESPN knows better. And all the Johnny come lately podcasters know it (well, actually, some may not)

Tell the WHOLE story or don’t tell it at all.

And you been doing precisely that which is why you are ahead of the class most of the time.
