Happy Wednesday Y’all !
It was quite a Tuesday around Raiderland.
Texas Tech HC Joey McGuire got a new 7-year deal, Texas Tech moved to #4 in the CFB Playoff Rankings, BYU kept their head coach home and Happy Santa appeared on the wall behind us on The Daily Broadcast. Not a bad day!
We’ll waste no time getting into all of those topics and more tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Everyone is talking more about the process of the team selections right now in college football than the actual teams. I would have much preferred hearing them talk about what Texas Tech has done on the field vs the garbage spewed forth as they try and justify who they’re selecting at 12 or 11… If no one likes this process, why do we have it? The answer… ESPN of course. Remember, much like the NCAA Basketball Tournament, this playoff is a TV show… don’t forget it.

What IF Wednesday
On Wednesdays we go down the road of alternate history. The Great What IFS in the world of sports and otherwise. Brought to you each week by The Shropshire Agency of Texas, you’ll never ask What If when it comes to your insurance needs with Jeff and his staff on your side!

We will stick with the world of sports today for this week’s question. Specifically, College Football. And recent college football at that!
What IF: Texas Tech had not lost at Arizona State this year?
A simple question, but it begs many other questions. Where would Texas Tech be ranked today? How would the perception of this team be changed in the eyes of the national media? Would Texas Tech be ahead of an SEC or Big 10 school? What would be different, if anything other than of course an unbeaten regular season record, for the Red Raiders.
Tell us in the comments what you think and what the world of college football would look like this morning if Texas Tech were 12-0. We’ll take up the discussion tonight on The Daily Broadcast with y’all at 6:30!
