Now that media day is over for Texas Tech, Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders can move past the Talking Season and get on with football playing. Which is fine by us.
Not much “news” out of Tuesday, but Will Hammond did elaborate a bit on his rehab process and how the Sorsby Saga didn’t really change anything. Hammond told folks he was always ahead of schedule from right after the knee surgery to today. That’s good.
We also learned Tuesday that USC not only is gonna duck Texas Tech by taking on Notre Dame again in non-conference play, but the Trojans, led by someone who used to be from WEST TEXAS, is going to play Houston. Houston. OK. We will give USC a little credit for doing something the SEC won’t do. They’re playing a Big 12 team.
