Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
The week got off to a solid start around here with Texas Tech Softball winning at Utah State, David Bailey remaining the projected number two or three pick in the NFL draft and Texas Tech Baseball didn’t lose. They didn’t play, but they didn’t lose.
Baseball is back in action at Abilene Christian today. These mid-week games no longer matter from post-season play, it’s all about the Big 12 now for Texas Tech. Still, you need to see some positives like what Adam Hayes gave you for a few starts over the last month before moving into the Sunday rotation. Also, it never hurts to compete.
I think we will learn a lot about the mindset of this team today.
Get out and beat-up an “inferior” opponent on the road; or sleepwalk through a mid-week game and act like you want to be off to your next destination…. This is a tough stretch mentally and physically for teams in mid-April. You’re tired and you see the reality of the season. Each team handles it differently.
