Happy Monday, Y’all !
We’ve got a brand new week and plenty of stuff going on. Texas Tech Football holds the local media day Tuesday; no real news expected but at least it’s a sign that we’re that much closer to football. The Dallas Cowboys camp is underway and of course there’s early drama. No Micha Parsons contract, Jake Ferguson got his deal done so Dan has his TE and now we find out G Ben Jones has a neck injury and could be out for up to three months. Not a net positive weekend for Dallas at all.
We’ll get into that, the red-hot Texas Rangers and much more tonight on The Daily Broadcast. One of the “much more” topics will include some Texas Tech Football as we look back over the last 25 years of Red Raider Football and ask you to give us your Top 5 Offensive Players over the last quarter century. G: Still gotta be the Texas Tech Lady Raiders claiming silver at the FISU World University Games. A great effort against a deep China squad was just a bit much to ask. After that, we gotta go with the Texas Rangers 9-1 over the last ten games and chasing down the Cheatin’ Astros. Are they serious buyers here at the deadline? Stay tuned.
B: The sudden and distinct lack of rain for certain areas on the South Plains the last two weeks. The start of the month was great, but lots of farmers need a drink or two of water right now.
U: What we’re hearing about Happy Gilmore 2. I had high hopes. According to my son, the emerging golf expert, I don’t have to have high hopes any more. I’ll still probably watch it though. They make fun or Rory, so there’s that. I’d rather see The Wedding Singer Part 2 and find out what happened to that couple.
