Great weekend of sports and whatnot to start the year! Texas Tech MBB and Lady Raiders both notch #Big12 wins, the NFL gave us a great Week 18 and we got another weekend closer to Texas Tech Baseball getting started. Not bad.

Texas Tech MBB Drama

We’ll discuss in detail the Pop Isaacs civil suit and implication of that in detail tonight on the Daily Broadcast around 6:30ish on X, YouTube and Facebook Live. You can answer some questions about it on our Facebook Page. If you haven’t followed us there, you should! Lots of stuff going on.

As for on the court, the convincing win moved Texas Tech well within the projected NCAA Tournament cutline. Hoops HD moved them up 23 spots and sitting in 10 Seed territory. That’s a lot better than Texas Tech has been over the past several years. Usually they’re where say TCU is right now. Nice record, no meaningful wins, a horrible RPI and no margin for error in conference play. That’s a hard way to do it. I’d still like to see Texas Tech upgrade the non-conference schedule in the future. Maybe some stability at HC will help that. . .
