5 Things We Know On A Sunday

  1. I’m not sure what age one has to be to become excited and thankful for finding a really good lotion that helps with dry skin; but I am officially that age.
  2. I am a True Romantic. I can’t be the only guy who does this though. Whenever I know I’ve got to take my wife somewhere in my truck ( which is rare, we usually take her’s ) I always make sure it’s nice and clean for her like we were dating. By that, I mean I try and get as many of the chips off the seat and get all the trash out of the passenger side that’s accumulated during the week. A lot of times I even dust off her side of the dashboard and make it where you can see out the window. As I said, I am a True Romantic!
  3. Top 3 Foods I Hate That Most Folks Love: No. 3 Spaghetti. I love pasta dishes, but I’m a hard-no on spaghetti. No. 2. Asparagus. A side-dish of choice for many. I don’t want it in my house, let alone on my plate. I’ve considered asking to change tables at a restaurant over this item being ordered by others. No.1. Crawfish. Mardi Gras just came and went and once again I’m shocked at how many folks like eating these mud dwelling bugs. They look angry and it’s seems like a lot of work to get very little culinary reward.
  4. If Elon Musk thinks it’s a good idea to dramatically increase oil and gas production in the United States to help stymie the Russians and their invasion of Ukraine; it’s probably a good idea.
  5. …The Alamo fell on this morning in 1836. Each year, I imagine what it was like in the smoke-filled haze of that chilly dawn. In my younger days I always favored sunsets over sunrises. As I’ve grown older it’s each new dawn that I value. A lot of folks never got to see another dawn after that day in an effort to give me a great place to live. That same scene is being played out thousands of miles away today; with folks just trying to ensure their children and future generations will have a safe and free place to call home. I value the dawns. …
