Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
Get your green on and have some fun today. All while we watch the nation try and figure out how to value the Texas Tech MBB team going into their NCAA Tournament match-up with Akron. It’s almost a law now that fans MUST have 12-5 upsets in their bracket. Add in the Toppin injure and Texas Tech is suddenly America’s Favorite Upset Victim this week. I think they’re wrong.
You can’t just wipe away the three-game losing skid, but you also can’t just throw out the three games Tech won without Toppin, including a win at second-seed ISU. Last I heard, that’s impressive.
You’re also giving Grant McCasland nearly a week to game-plan for the Zips. He’s pretty good at doing that in tournament play we’ve learned…. there might be a 12-5 upset looming out there, but it won’t be Texas Tech. Right now, Tech -7.5 seems like a bargain. If this game were being played with the same players in December…. well, you get the idea.
