Happy Tuesday, Y’all !

The Big 12 is apparently considering having preseason favorite Texas Tech and Houston play on a Friday night this coming Fall and Texas Tech Board of Regents Chairman Cody Campbell, you may have heard of him, is having nothing to do with it. . .

This is the NEW Texas Tech and we love it.

Tech folks used to wait and react. Wait and see what Texas did or said. Wait to see what A&M might do.

Those days are over.

It’s great that Campbell is out in front of this and forcing the hand of Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark to react and relent. Yormark may just pocket veto the idea and it goes away without comment. Fine by us.

If the Big 12 is hell-bent on playing a conference game on Friday nights, then do it somewhere where high school football doesn’t matter as much. Hi there Cincinnati or even Kansas or Iowa…. No offense of course to those fine states and program, but they ain’t Texas High School Football….

We’ll discuss that as well as Texas Tech Baseball and Softball in action tonight, both against ACU with Baseball at The Law and Softball in Abilene. The Key City, right? Something like that.

Tuesday’s Best

Every Tuesday we go off in search of The Best in life. Sometimes sports, sometimes not. We throw out the topic and you give us your Top 2 Examples. This week we’re going down the road of spicy foods.

What are your two favorite spicy dishes and where do you get them?

From Mexican Food to Thai or Vietnamese, to ghost peppers on your burger or insane hot wings; what are your Top Two Go-To Meals? If they’re around West Texas, be sure and let us know so we can try it out!

Not just because they are a great partner with all we do in Raiderland, but the Spicy Cajun Pasta at Gator’s Bayou is definitely in my Top 2 these days. If you’ve never tried it, go mild the first time around and work your way up the heat scale. Trust us. Also find out if anyone in the kitchen is angry that day. Just to keep it safe!

Free away with your Tuesday’s Best in the comments and we’ll discuss in-depth tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
