Happy Monday, Y’all !
Let’s get this week started in a big way this morning!
We’ve got a 30% chance of rain around the South Plains. It doesn’t sound like much, but it could mean everything to that farmer waiting to plant a month here in the coming weeks. That would be a great start to the week.
We’ve also got the NFL Draft coming up on Thursday. Plan your watch parties now. Add in some Texas Tech Baseball, Softball and the end of Tech Spring Football as well as Transfer Portal Watch ’26 for Texas Tech Mens and Women’s Basketball and we’ve got plenty to talk about tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
Not only that, but the Stanley Cup Playoffs have begun with a mighty roar and we’re all about it at our house. In fact, my 82-year old mom has adopted the Minnesota Wild as her team of choice to root for. Don’t ask me why, maybe just a front-runner but she watch all or parts of every playoff game this weekend. I love it. We’re working on the Power Play and Offsides rule, but we’re getting there. I may have to get her a Wild sweater. Extra Small.

Good, Bad & Ugly
On Mondays we recap the weekend that was with the GBU. Going back to the earliest days of The Williams & Hyatt Show in 1994, the Good, Bad & Ugly has been a stalwart West Texas way to figure out what just happened.
Some things were great. Some were bad. Some so ugly you just had to look away. We’ll give your ours, you post yours here on the site or on our Facebook and Twitter/X feeds and we’ll discuss tonight in-depth on The Daily Broadcast.
G: Ludvig Aberg posts a T4 at the RBC in Hilton Head, SC. No, not a win, but the frustration of The Masters didn’t carry over and he was Round 1 leader. So close we think to see him go on a tear this summer.
B: The Dallas Stars Stanley Cup Playoffs opener against Minnesota. 6-1 Wild. It’s like they still hate Dallas for taking in the North Stars back when Minnesota wouldn’t build them something nice to play in…
U: Texas Tech Baseball. No other way to say it. Losers of 5 straight, scored 8 runs at Utah. Now just trying to make the Big 12 Tournament in a month.
