We’re starting our final day here in Red River with temps in the 30s and light snow falling. These mountains need all the moisture they can get after two Winters with far too little snow-pack to go mourned. Everyone in town is pretty happy to see this here in early May. Hopefully it portends for a nice wet summer of refreshing rains for all you folks back home to come up here and enjoy when the temps hit three-digits back in Texas!

We’ll get to the Brendan Sorsby Story later, but for at least Tuesday night Texas Tech Baseball gave the home folks something to cheer about. A 9-7 win over Dallas Baptist isn’t exactly eye-catching, but a win is a win right now. In fact, that’s two in a row. Beat BYU Friday and we call that a winning streak. It has been done.

Texas Tech used five pitchers on the night with no one going more than two innings, so the bullpen is intact for Friday, including starter Connor Mohan who could be in a long-relief role now that the mid-weeks are done.

As for Texas Tech Softball, its wait until Thursday afternoon when they take on Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament opener. We’ll be tracking the game on the drive home from Red River, so that will be good entertainment on the road.

Meanwhile, back at Brendan Sorsby, those hoping for a quick resolution will probably disappointed. Now that we’ve got lawyers and the NCAA investigation and whatnot…the process could grind on through the summer. It begs a simple question that we’ll attack tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
