5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- My Mom’s favorite movie is “Casablanca”. You don’t have to ask her, she’ll tell you. Fact. There isn’t a movie made in the last 20 years that folks will still be talking about 40 or 50 years from now. Why is that? What’s happened? Hype-technology and graphics have replaced story-telling and movie-making. And not for the better. Don’t believe me? Try and find some movies over that last few decades that matter to you.
- Observation. When media outlets rely so much on political advertising and Big Pharma ads, why in the world would they want to do anything but promote unhealthy life-styles and s create deep divisions in our country politically?
- Be kind to your Dallas Cowboys friends. As of today they still have hope for a great season. We know how it’s gonna end, they know how it’s gonna end…but for now; let them enjoy life. November will be here soon enough.
- I love hot wings, but hardly ever eat them anymore. Did Covid kill off the hot wing craze for Americans? What about y’all? What’s your wing intake today compared to the past? It was a Sunday NFL staple for me, now… not so much. What has replaced the hot wing?
- If you fancy yourself a Texan and are looking for something great to read this Fall, and we assume it’s going to actually feel like Fall at some point; you need to read “Rip Ford’s Texas” by John Salmon Ford. Trust us. You’ll be glad you did.
