Happy Tuesday Y’all !
It came as no surprise Monday that the first question asked of Texas Tech HC Joey McGuire in his weekly media session was about Texas Tech taking on some guy named Brendan Sorsby’s former team. It was a legit question, one that had to be asked. No issues with that.
McGuire absolutely nailed the response.
In short this week’s game is all about Texas Tech. No outside noise or motivation or headlines needed.
Exactly what is probably being said inside the locker room and now to the public.
When you’re 6-0 and you’re ranked 5th in the country and you’re playing for a Big 12 Champ game appearance and the road to the College Football Playoffs, you don’t need cheap gimmicks. Now, make sure, McGuire isn’t one to let a motivating opportunity slip by. He’ll be the first to admit that. But in this case, the Sorsby Saga ain’t it.
Thankfully for Texas Tech, they have much larger Bearcats to fry this week.
