And we welcome you back to football, back to Texas Tech Game Week and maybe even back to temps not in the 100s. It’s all coming together nicely this week, just like we planned it!
Obviously we’ll have plenty to talk about on The Daily Broadcast tonight at 6:30. . . Texas Tech Football released their 2-deep and there aren’t many surprises if you’ve kept us with guys like Don Williams. One other thing Tech announced Sunday is the release weekly of an NFL-Style Injury Report. I love this for a ton of reasons. It’s good for the fans. It helps eliminate any possible specter of gamblers getting inside information. For that reason alone the NCAA should mandate the injury report in all sports, but that’s a discussion for later.
We’ve also finally got an opponent to talk about, even if Texas Tech should never play the likes of ACU in football. Ah yes, scheduling. We have thoughts.

- Ludvig Aberg. Another great weekend. Headed to Fed-Ex Cup championship weekend with legit shot to win it. Over 12 million bucks since turning pro. He may be ok!
- The Little League team from Boerne. Finished fourth in the world. That’s not bad. Always good to see Texans doing Texan things!
- Jace Jung. Got his single career multi-hit game Sunday.
- The West Texas A&M FB Players and student-staffers who helped us move our son into his dorm last week at WT. The all a credit to their families and the institution. Kept an old man like me from having to carry far too many things on a 105 degree day.
