5 Things We Know On A Sunday
- If FEMA were a charity, you’d never donate a dime. They’d be ripped apart on the internet fact-checking sites for charities. Instead, they confiscate your money through taxes and through our state treasury. That so many folks think this is OK, scares the hell out of me. It should you too. . . So, what are you gonna do about it on 5 November, 2024?
- Friday Night Fish Fry Specials around West Texas small towns are highly underrated. Most nearly all small towns around here have a cafe, Mexican food joint or something that come Friday’s are frying up some catfish for you. K-Bobs Steakhouse, back in the 70s and 80s around West Texas almost always had great catfish back in the day. Worth skipping the steak for that night! Go find one some time this fall. You’ll be glad you did! And if you happen to drop by a small-town high school football game where you know no one and just are there to enjoy the game and the atmosphere, even better!
- Top 3 Store Bought Hot Sauces: No. 3. Frank’s Red Hot Sauce. The Original. 5-Tool Player. Works on wings, Mexican Food, pizza, you name it… No. 2. Sriracha Rooster Sauce. Why not? The cool phase is over. Now it’s just hot and good. No. 1. Cholula. The Original. The best. The little wooden topper…what more do you want? Goes great, smooth flavor and the perfect amount of heat to season to taste.
- Army Football is undefeated. Navy Football is undefeated. This hasn’t happened this late in the season since America got done kicking ass in WWII in 1945. If you can’t root for the Service Academies to be great, we can’t be friends. If we can get one of these teams into the College Football Playoff this year… America will have a team to root for!
- There is no smell worse than the smell you can’t identify and you can’t figure out where it’s coming from.
