Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
It shouldn’t have come as a shock, given how the Heisman Trophy has become a bit of a compromised award over the years, but Texas Tech LB Jacob Rodriguez didn’t make the final four cut to go to NYC. Of course I don’t think anyone should have to go to New York, even to pick-up a trophy. That said, with Rodriguez collecting multiple other awards including the Bronco Nagurski Award, it shows that simply being the best defensive player in college football isn’t good enough to be considered just one of the best Football Players in the nation. That’s nuts. And that’s why a lot of folks out there dismiss the once ultimate American sports award.
We’ll discuss that tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast as well as a slew of other topics. One of which, we pose the question of whether College Football needs Notre Dame. Do the Power 4 conferences need ND to drive ratings and make money? If they locked Notre Dame out and refused to schedule the Irish, would that be a net positive or negative for those programs.

It’s a long shot shot but think it just might be possible that I enjoy Christmas music more than you enjoy Christmas decorations.

But I’m a junky and pretty much enjoy it all – with exceptions, of course (barking dogs) – there’s even a version of Drummer Boy I can recommend, King and Country’s.
