Happy Tuesday, Y’all !
It’s January 6th Big 12 teams. Do you know where your best football players are? Don’t worry, Texas Tech will be in touch. This Selecting instead of Recruiting is a lot more fun, don’t ya think…
We’ll tidy up the latest in the transfer portal for the Red Raiders tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Right now it looks like Texas Tech and Indiana are battling it out for the best class, but those things change hour by hour so we’ll wait and see. Either way, Texas Tech is upgrading right now as best they can. Hard to replace a generationally great defense but they might get really close.
While that dominates headlines, it’s a Big 12 Basketball battle Royale down in Houston that gets our attention. This one is huge for the surging Red Raiders. Tech won last year with their best player getting chunked out of the game, so maybe just keep all seven guys in the game and it won’t take overtime. For sure, you won’t see Texas Tech and Houston scoring in the 90s or more, unless we go five OTs. First one to 65 wins this game and it might even be 60.
The impact of this early Big 12 clash is huge. UH is a solid 3-seed right now at HoopsHD.com and Texas Tech has moved to the four line. A win for Tech would may be flip that or at least move Tech to the three. That’s as high as Tech has been in early January in a long time..

Tuesday’s Best
Each Tuesday we give you a topic and you give us your two best examples. Might be sports, might not be. Life is like that.
This week, we’re going sports.
Give us the Two Coaches, regardless of sport, who have had the most impact on their respective sport via Xs/Os or just how they viewed the game. Fire away in the comments. If you want to restrict it to the last 40 years or so, we can do that. Otherwise Abner Doubleday and George Halas always win!
Let’s see what you got and we’ll discuss in-depth on The Daily Broadcast tonight at 6:30.
