Happy Thursday, Y’all !
We had to go a whole two days without the NFL being on TV. What are they thinking!
We’ve got the Vikings at Rams tonight in what could be either a glorious uniform match-up or something dreadful. With these colors clashing, who knows. Give me pure 1977 look for both teams and it should be awesome.
On the Texas Tech front, things got real quiet around Lubbock after the Baylor debacle. Very quiet. The last few years there has been lots of chirping around Tech and TCU. Not this time. Smart move by all concerned I’d say. Both teams need this game for vastly different reasons.
Has Tech shed the “can’t win on the road” badge after the Arizona win? Was TCU’s win last week a fluke?
Lots to talk about tonight on The Daily Broadcast. Join in LIVE at 6:30 on X, YouTube or Facebook Live. Your choice. Make sure you subscribe to all of our platforms so you never miss a thing. Speaking of missing things, if you did miss the show last night, here ya go:
See ya at 6:30!
Over, Under, Rated Right
On Thursdays we rate things in Raiderland.
Each week we throw out a topic or category and you tell us which things or people are overrated, underrated and rated just right.
This week we’re talking All-Time Lone Star State Professional Sports Coaches….
From the NFL to the NBA, Hockey to Baseball, how do you rank ’em?
We’ll give you a few of ours, you post yours in the comments below and we’ll discuss tonight on TDB.
Over: Former Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington. Some folks might put him on the Underrated list. As for me, I think the Rangers won inspire of his in-game decisions and not because of them.
Under: Former Dallas Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock. How can a Hall of Famer be underrated? He just is. Folks rarely talk about Hitch when it comes to the great coaches in Texas history. They should.
Rated Right: Former Houston Oilers head coach O.A. “Bum” Phillips. Could never get past the Steelers or the Raiders and make a Super Bowl, but he made the NFL fun. Most quotable coach in Texas pro sports history.
Ok, there’s a few to get you started. Who do y’all have for us today?
