Happy Monday, Y’all !
When you woke Sunday, you woke up to a world where Texas Tech Football controls its own destiny when it comes to making the Big 12 Title Game. Win out, and the Red Raiders are in. Thanks to the Houston Cougars win late Saturday night at Arizona State, it’s that simple now. Of course that means Texas Tech has to win out, but we figured that would be the case no matter what, even before the Debacle In The Desert.
Now, Texas Tech starts the week as a 7-Point favorite on the road against Kansas State. Not a fun place for Red Raider teams to play over the years. Will this year be different? Do you have concerns about the Texas Tech offense, particularly the line and sketchy play-calling over the last two weeks? Or, does the return of, hopefully now appreciated more than ever, Behren Morton alleviate all your concerns?
We’ll talk about that, water bottles at Arizona State, BYU sneaking around undefeated, the Dallas Cowboys no-show in Denver and much more tonight at 6:30 Central on The Daily Broadcast. Good, Bad & Ugly Weekend Recap
Every Monday we look back over the weekend with y’all. We break it down old-school; The Williams & Hyatt Show style from back in the 90s. There were things you loved, like and some things so ugly you just had to look away. So give us your GBUs for this weekend, from sports to anything else in the world in the comments and then we’ll discuss more in-depth with y’all tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
Here’s just a few of ours this week:
G: Texas Tech Fans. They showed up and they didn’t throw food Saturday against UH. I knew they could do it! Actually this is a big deal. No issues and I think that means Tech fans understand what’s at stake going forward if their behavior didn’t change. Well done, Red Raiders.
B: The Dallas Cowboys. They had a great shot to prove the defense was improving and the offense was worthy of post-season thoughts. And then they didn’t show up at the show down in Denver. Again, really good defense beats really good offense. That and Dallas has a losing culture and always will. Welcome to the land of old Detroit, Cleveland and the Bengals. Bad ownership gets bad results on the field.
U: Arizona State fans throwing trash on the field during the Houston game. Will the Big 12 send out that 100K fine? Bonus ugly… LSU and Brian Kelly. So fun to watch, it was worth seeing Texas A&M win. At least Rich O’Toole can keep eating those breakfast tacos at his local gas station!
