Texas Tech has a few things to figure out this week and they don’t have a lot of time to do it. . .

Usually after two games, and certainly after a road game against a half-way decent team a football team ranked 13th in the county would have more answers than questions. Not this Texas Tech team. With Houston coming in to Lubbock on Friday night, Texas Tech has to figure a few things out. Fast.

One will be what’s going on with an offensive line that just hasn’t shown much at all in the run-game the first two weeks. They complimented that with massive breakdowns in pass protection in the win at Oregon State and a return to pre-snap penalties and undisciplined play.

After that it’s a chicken or egg deal on defense. Is the secondary that bad after getting torched by OSU or is the secondary what it was a year ago, but without an NFL-Level defensive front harassing QBs, the secondary was asked to cover too long and too much against the Beavers. Take your pick.

Either way, this will be a week of Texas Tech looking for answers before their old adversary from SWC days gone by come a calling on a Friday Night Special.

We’ll talk about that tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast and much more. Always more. Part of the more will be the firing of Texas Tech Volleyball HC Tony Graystone on Sunday. Not a shock and probably should have happened after last season.
