Happy Friday, Y’all !
One more day of 100 degree heat around here. Be sure and Call The Bear if that AC isn’t working great. Maybe it will feel more football at a cool 92 degrees on Saturday.
I had to chuckle a bit Thursday morning though because it seems like the first day of high school practices around here always mean amazing heat. At least that’s the way I remember it.
Texas Tech has two practices in and we’re seeing OL ding-ups and Michael Hudson grabs. Sounds about right. Call me back in two and a half weeks and we can then see who is healthy and who is making a claim on some starting spots. Of course coaches rotate so many players in now, being a starter doesn’t always equate to playing every snap. So factor that in.
The NFL told ya how much they value the HOF Game last night. When the rains came in Canton, Ohio the NFL said, “meh, we’re outta here”. I know they feel like they have to play the game, but no team wants to be a part of it now with starters out there, so it’s really even more degraded than before. Need to bring back the old Chicago All-Star game where previous year’s college all-stars played the defending Super Bowl champs. Heck, sometimes the college kids actually won. Of course today owners would never let their top picks play, so that’s why we can’t have nice things.
All of that and more tonight when we go LIVE at 6:30 on The Daily Broadcast with y’all on X, YouTube, Facebook. Join in and get your questions and comments posted.
