Happy Wednesday, Y’all !

Finally got a few hours to settle in and watch the new documentary on the 1980 US Hockey team. It was better than I expected and I had really high expectations. It’s touch to make a film about something so well-known and chronicled but they pulled it off. Got to give it 5 Stars for Miracle: The Boys Of “80. If you were around then it will bring back a lot of memories like it did for me growing up. If you weren’t born yet, it will give you a great understanding of why their win so so important to America at that time.

We’ll talk about that and much more including Texas Tech hoops, Big 12 and national college basketball as well as some Super Bowl Hype for ya tonight on The Daily Broadcast.

What IF Wednesday

Each Wednesday we dive into the world of Alternative History. The great What IFs in the world of sports and life. It’s amazing how different things could have turned out with just the slightest changes or decisions here or there…

What IF: Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson never broke-up?

ORG XMIT: February 24, 1989 – Former University of Miami coach Jimmy Johnson, left, and Arkansas oilman Jerry Jones, along with their wives, dine at a Dallas resteraunt. At the time the picture was taken when Jones had not yet bought the cowboys and Jimmy Johnson was still the coach of Miami. Photographer: J. Mark Kegans Credit: 6766 / in cowboy book 92 Date: 033094

What does the rest of the decade of the 1990s look like for the Dallas Cowboys if Johnson stays? What would have happened in the past thirty years even if Johnson is the HC to the 2000s? Does the salary cap still end up hampering Dallas or does Johnson coach around it?

Tell us your version of history in the comments and we’ll discuss in-depth tonight on The Daily Broadcast.
