Happy Wednesday, Y’all !
How did we know it wasn’t going to rain much if at all in Lubbock Tuesday night?
Because Texas Tech cancelled the baseball game against ACU. As soon as I heard that, I knew we’d miss the rains, and we did. Maybe get some today. We sure need it. Leave the severe stuff out of it though. Nothing exciting, just some good cotton showers.
Texas Tech Softball is doing their part with a scheduled game today against UT-Arlington, so we got that going for us.

This week we look back on NFL Draft history and the Dallas Cowboys. When Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys, Tom Landry had already left him Michael Irvin. With his first draft, Jones and Jimmy Johnson took QB Troy Aikman number one over-all. Pretty smart move. Still they Johnson wasn’t convinced a year later that Aikman was the guy, so he brought in his former Miami QB Steve Walsh in the 1989 supplemental draft. There was a real competition. Obviously, Aikman won….
What IF: What if Jimmy Johnson had convinced Jerry Jones to trade Aikman for more draft capital in the rebuild and went with Steve Walsh at QB in the early 90s?
