Happy Wednesday, Y’all !

With a few days still to go before the Lady Raiders and Texas Tech MBB teams hit the court in the NCAA Tournament, Tech Baseball gives us something to talk about today. Unfortunately, it ain’t good.

Tech Baseball has a bad math problem right now. First off, 16 is more than 10. As in they gave up 16 runs Tuesday night at DBU while scoring 10. Usually ten runs is gonna win you a game, even a mid-week game. Not with Tech’s pitching right now. There’s no doubt this Tech line-up can hit and produce. They question will be can they overcome a pitching staff that just isn’t that talented right now. We can discuss why that is tonight on The Daily Broadcast.

For now, look at these real-time Bad Math Numbers for Texas Tech.

Current RPI: 150 with a SOS of 228.
Best Non-Con RPI Left To Play: Oklahoma 19.
Best Big 12 Team RPI’s: UCF 21, Kansas State 29, ASU 32.

Here’s the deal. Texas Tech doesn’t play UCF and K-State this year in the regular season. As you can see, RPI Rehab Games are few and far-between now for this Texas Tech team. The math quickly isn’t adding up for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Of course this also reveals how down the Big 12 is this year in baseball. No team would be eligible to host right now in the NCAA Tournament. Think about that. Not a single team. Is it Big 12 Tournament or Bust for the Red Raider this year…. yep. It looks that way more each day.

We’ll talk about this and some of the reasons tonight with y’all on The Daily Broadcast. Join us LIVE at 5:30 Central on X, YouTube or Facebook Live. All platforms Always Free. If you missed the Tuesday show, here ya go:

Of course we’ll also take a look at the NCAA Tournament and much more so get your questions and comments ready and we’ll see y’all at 5:30 Central.
